The sealing surface of soft seated ball valves maintains a closing position between ball’s surfaces without any flushes by the medium, employed in the working mediums of water, solvents, acids, gas, etc. as well as mediums under tough working environment such as oxygen, methane, ethylene, etc.

Applications & Features

In general application, the soft seated ball valves are suitable for a clean fluid and not recommended for a dirty fluid. This is reasonable since some particulate may damage the soft seat material and causing a leakage. In term of the required torque to operate the ball valves, the soft seated ball valve will have a lower torque rather than metal seated ball valves.
