Installation Principles of Pneumatic Control Valves

Pneumatic control valve uses compressed gas as the power source and cylinder as the actuator, and uses the valve positioner, converter, solenoid valve, retention valve, gas storage tank, gas filter and other accessories to drive the valve to achieve the switching value. Or proportional adjustment, receiving control signals from industrial automation control systems to complete the adjustment of pipeline media: flow, pressure, temperature, liquid level and other process parameters.

The installation principle of the pneumatic control valve is as follows

1) The installation position of the pneumatic control valve requires a certain height from the ground, and there must be a certain space above and below the valve to facilitate the disassembly and repair of the valve. For a control valve equipped with a pneumatic valve positioner and a hand wheel, it must be easy to operate, observe and adjust.

(2) The control valve should be installed on the horizontal pipeline and vertical to the pipeline. Generally, it should be supported under the valve to ensure stability and reliability. For special occasions, when the control valve needs to be installed horizontally on a vertical pipeline, the control valve should also be supported (except for small diameter control valves). During installation, avoid putting additional stress on the control valve.

3) The working environment temperature of the control valve should be (-30 ℃ ~ + 60 ℃), and the relative humidity should not be greater than 95%.

(4) There should be straight pipe sections at the front and rear positions of the control valve, and the length of the pipe should not be less than 10 times the diameter of the pipe (10D) to avoid that the straight pipe sections of the valve are too short and affect the flow characteristics.

(5) When the diameter of the contro valve is not the same as that of the process pipeline, a reducer shall be used for connection. When the small-caliber contro valve is installed, it can be screwed. The fluid direction arrow on the valve body should match the fluid direction.

6) To set up bypass pipes. The purpose is to facilitate switching or manual operation, allowing the control valve to be repaired without stopping.

(7) Before installing the control valve, completely remove foreign objects in the pipeline, such as dirt and welding slag.

The characteristics of the pneumatic control valve are simple control, fast response, and intrinsically safe, and no additional explosion-proof measures need to be taken.
