CNOOC has invited 4 international companies to tender for the competition to provide underwater facilities for its Lingshui 17-2 deep-water gas field development project in the Qiongdongnan Basin, South China Sea.

According to industry sources, CNOOC announced to the UK-based Deshineb-Fermisch, Norway's Aker Solutions, GE-controlled Baker Hughes and Schlumberger OneSubsea last week. Invitations to tender and tenders are scheduled to be submitted in early July. CNOOC Limited has decided to drive this development project into the fast lane and plans to achieve its first goal by the end of December 2020.

At present, the tender includes underwater production trees serving 11 production wells, as well as 5 sets of spare tree and 4 casing sinks, an underwater distribution device, connection device, an umbilical tube terminal, and an umbilical tube terminal assembly Underwater umbilical tube terminal and umbilical. The project will also include 5 umbilicals with a total length of about 70 kilometers.
