Global nuclear power is gradually coming out of the shadow of the Fukushima nuclear accident in Japan and entering the restart phase. According to the International Atomic Energy Agency, as of the end of June 2019, there were 449 in-flight units in 30 countries and 54 units under construction, with an installed capacity of 55 million kilowatts.
